ICTs

ICTs or information communication technologies are a very important part

of modern society since they control essentially every aspect of modern

day to day communication, which makes then extremely important in

business. Here are some examples of ICTs that are useful in the business

world

1) standard office applications and spreadsheet programs such as

Microsoft excel and Microsoft word are great for writing letters,

reports and Analyzing financial information; calculations, etc.

2) Simple database software such as Oracle/MS or SQL Server/Access 

are useful to manage data in many forms like basic lists such

as customer contacts.

3) Presentation software like Microsoft PowerPoint are used to make

presentations and publish in digital format either through e-mail or the

internet.

4) Desktop publishing are used to create newsletters, magazines and

other complex documents. Notable examples of these include Adobe indesign, 

Quark express and Microsoft Publisher. 

5) Graphics software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator or

Fireworks are used to create and/or edit images like logos, drawings,

or pictures for use in DTP and websites.

6) Printers are used to print documents for reports contracts and any

other form of paperwork

7) Computers are used for facilitation on data management, storage, etc.

What I learned was that ICTs are a very important in society since they are

used for basically everything related to business and many other areas,

and that it makes everything way easier to do in modern society.
